Inasmuch as 'The Black Hole of Calcutta' acts as filmic pun-- very much doing what it 'says on the tin'-- this hand-scratched Super 8 short also plays on cinematic notions of structure and anticlimax. Created by an anonymous cineaste, the film can be said to exist in the same mysterious void mentioned in its title.
